**SPRINKLER DAMAGE WARNING**
This is an important message to save you costly repairs and even a flooded basement due to the pre-mature serious freeze forecast tonight, Monday 10/17/22 and Tuesday as well with both nights are forcast at 20 degrees or less!!! Your exposed, and above ground sprinkler plumbing, including the backflow preventer and piping is in danger!! All the underground elements of you system sould be fine until normal witerization occurs .
So! Make sure this procedure is done tonight.
**** Four asterisks following steps represent the procedures that are totally critical to prevent freeze damage!
1. TURN OFF MAIN SPRINKLER SYSTEM VALVE IN BASEMENT . (USUALLY BY WATER METER) ****
2. OPEN ANY DRAIN VALVE IN BASEMENT BY MAIN VALVE IN BASEMENT (HANG SMALL BUCKET TO CATCH WATER, LEAVE OPEN) NOTE: SOME SYSTEMS DO NOT HAVE THIS FEATURE.****
3. OPEN BOTH (2-4) TEST PORTS WITH STRAIGHT BLADE SCREW DRIVER ¼ TURN. A BIT OF WATER SHOULD COME OUT, LEAVE OPEN ALL WINTER.. ****
4. TURN BOTH LARGER VALVE HANDLES 1/8 TURN TO MATCH LOOK ON DIAGRAM. IF VALVES ARE TOO HARD TO MOVE, LEAVE ALONE IN SAME POSITION THAT YOU FOUND THEM IN. WE WILL FIX THIS WHEN WE DO THE BLOW OUT PROCEDURE
5. OPEN VALVE ON THE BOTTOM OF OUTSIDE SPRINKLER PLUMBING, A BIT OF WATER WILL COME OUT. LEAVE OPEN FOR THE WINTER.

Concord Square Homeowners 2nd Quarter HOA Meeting

at Work in the park and Our Community
Concord Square HOA wanted to take the time to recognize and thank Caleb Miller and his team of students from the Creighton University Institute for Economic Inquery. These students made up of Freshmen thru Juniors from all over the United States have taken 2 Sundays, every month from March to November to come over and do whatever needed to be done in Logan Fontenelle Park and Concord Square common areas.

Our annual neighborhood get-together was a great success due to all the neighbors that came out to join us on Sunday, evening. We had a large spread of food, music, and some live entertainment by daughters of Owen’s and Strozier families that performed popular hit songs, these young ladies were very talented. We had an introduction of neighbors, families and friends which enabled many of our new neighbors that were in attendance an opportunity to get acquainted with the neighbors living around them. Dinner was followed up with an outdoor movie on the big screen and continued socialization with sprits and music.
